An observational study exploring the relationship between weathered timber and decorative iron hardware. Details emerge from a heavily worked surface, focusing on the contrasting textures, worn materials and mechanical forms of the original elements.

Acrylic, charcoal and pen applied to tissue paper create a dense, tactile composition, with scratched marks, deep shadows and irregular surface textures emphasising the aged character of the timber and ironwork.
